Another year has gone by and was it a different one filled with many surprises! Several of our SYM family members were married and became parents this past year. Many new faces have graced and have had the privilege to become part of Speak Your Mind as others have been behind the scenes on and off for whatever reason. As we get ready for another Splash, look forward to another party, keep the site active and ALIVE, it has been a colorful ride! I have to admit that I do miss the old glory days of a simple traditional Sunday evening barbecue SYM style. GOTTA LOVE THEM RIBS!! I have to give it up again, over and over to PVD, VOYAGER & HENRY for keeping the site looking Extremely Attractive and making it one of the valley's targeted web sites. It is truly a major hit in gay.com and talked about in the Rio Grande Valley and other cities around the state and country. Rey, J.P. and I have been taking tons of pics when we go clubbin'. We would like to thank anyone and everyone that has contributed in any way this past year. Thank you for visiting, spreading the word about our page, viewing our pics, reading our articles and posting in our message board/forum. I love to think about the past, but try not to dwell too much on it. I like to perfect and enjoy the present and look forward to a stunning future. It was fun and a great experience wearing the crown and being SYM member for 04-05. Hmm? Whom shall be crowned this time around? We'll just have to wait and see. 7/14/05 ShAnTii It has been a long time since my last post...partially because I have been real busy with work and other stuff, but still have made time for this article. Unless something come's up and prevents me from not being able to write, I will promise to be a bit more consistent in writing for the popular 'GUIRRE.' I am exhausted, and I am going to go to sleep soon after typing this article, then of course it will be time to go to catch some Zzz's and get ready for work in the morning. 7-13-05 Voyager Logo, a new gay and lesbian network from MTV Networks, is now available here in the Rio Grande Valley. Logo, an around-the-clock advertising-based network featuring films, original series and other gay programming, launched June 30. We here at the One/The Veranda have enjoyed viewing Logo since July 1st and are glad to have a channel that has entertainment geared for the gay commuinity but is watched by gay and straight people alike. I MORE- - ->   What started out as a simple way to waste free time has now evolved into new friendships as we have used one of the best chat rooms on the net to meet some of the Rio Grande Valley's exciting boys. Gay.com's RGV chat room is the meeting place for many of the valley's local gay/bi people. We have used the chat room to meet people that we would have never known and who would have expected for it to develop into a friendly group, The RGV Gay Dot Com'ers group. Each one being a unique individual chatting and now meeting in the valleys local clubs like Valentino's and the New Heart Rock (formerly AK's).
