![]() BACK Some Stay Away I am going to loose weight. I am going to make my comeback. I want to return with a new look. These are just a few phrases that people say when they choose to go into a secluded phase at times. In the midst of extreme social outings whether it is going to pubs, lounges or clubs, a person sometimes decides to stay away for various reasons. I have had several friends and acquaintances that stay away from 'night time' society and then - WALA, they return and it is time to welcome a new person. Sometimes not! I have stayed away many times. Sometimes staying away to think or work on one's self whether it is physically, mentally or emotionally can take a toll on ones self, hopefully, for the better. I can think all the way back to high school how I would seclude myself from the world, sometimes even from my family and friends. Unfortunately, and sad to mention, we all go through this period. At this point of my life, I feel as if I have to step back, evaluate, soul search and then continue the walk. Hmm? If I could only breathe normally, perhaps, I would feel different. I need air. I need space. I need therapy! In the end, I am sure I will be cleansed. I will let nature take its course. Come on dear potter, mold me. Craft me. Martha Stewart please stay away. Depression is a reason why people stay away even though they do not mention it. It could be the loss of a loved one, loosing that special friend or that significant other and financial or relationship problems and then some. God only knows I've been through each one of these, but then again, how many of us haven't. Take the law in to your own hands and look good. Why not? We only live once, so lets just spike it up a little. So for all of us who have stayed away or who want to stay away from someone, anyone, a certain place or whatever reason, the sky is yours. When you click your red little ruby slippers and return from Oz, a world awaits you. A world that has missed you. Whether you're going to hit the gym, attend spiritual retreats, AA Classes, eat Jeanie Craig's Meals, be drug free - or at least try, bring the stick to hit your piñata because there will be a party waiting and it will have your name on it. It's ok to be a stranger - just don't get in to danger! Don't be away too long. Cell phones and Mp3's may be extinct by the time you return.
