As I got off my car and walked towards the club: "Tequila Frogs" I knew right away that the muzik was going to be fabulous as I heard it from a distance. I payed my $ 10.00 cover and as I walked in I was overwhelmed by the enormous people in attendance at Splash 2004 at S.P.I. I am glad that I decided to go at the last minute and meet up with SYM Members Juan, LoUiE & Henry! Gilbert O. was also part of the gang that night. I went by myself since I had taken an extended nap. The drive was exciting since I had a lightning show escorting me all the way to my gay destination. I was NOT gonna let my bois down, so I made a surprise appearance. ShAnTii gets to the club and calls Juan on his cell to inquire on their whereabouts and lo and behold Juan is right beneath Shankle 2 a.k.a. ShAnTii, as they both hang up their cells and hug themselves as if they had not seen each other in months. The rest of the SYM gang were dancing 'on the bay' to the massive and phenomal mixes of Dj Lydia Prim from Atlanta. All her muzik were on "Vinyl" no cd's - no cassettes - simply the real shitz, 12 inch Vinyl Albums. Best muzik I have heard in a long time. Shouts out to Dj Lydia. Oh, and by the way, (Party Dj's) who? Neways, I bumped into several friends str8t and gay and some surprise encounters with a few co-workers. Woow! Good luck with that on Monday. I was the ONLY one that did not dance the entire night as the other SYM members danced about 98% of the time. Wooooow! I earned a beaded necklace. YES I DID EARN IT THE WAY YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO EARN IT! ha And one of "US" whos name I won't mention, ended up with glitter on his face. What was the name of Mr. Houston? wink Oh well, the night was fun and unforgettable. I simply wish I would've spent more time at Tequila Frogs with my friends. I can't wait for the Fall Splash October in October. The night continued in Brownsville at the 77 Restaurant where we all had a little bit of everything. fajita plate, nachos, barbacoa taquitos, enchiladas, menudo and only 1 slice of cake. The other 4 slices NEVER got there. Dang that waitress. Perhaps we shall request for it in french next time since it never got there by requesting for it in english and spanish. And for the grande finalee of the night, we were gaced by the appearances of Dj Checo, La Divina Garza & the New Apollo Male Dancer "INFARTO!!" We were surprised to see how much weight Infarto has lost. I think i'll get on his chicken & water diet as well! We were talking about the possibility of having "80's Night on Fridays at Valentino's. I HOPE THAT COMES TO BE!!!! Until next time, let the disco ball shine on you - because WE ARE ALL STARS FROM WITHIN! Always - - -ShAnTii
