	BACK Person of The Year 2006 Well What can I say. I guess rules don’t apply here. I think someone got to everyone and talked before the voting and made your decision to break my rule. But here is what you wanted. This year’s Member of the year is: me- Henry . It’s not fair because I cannot give an award to myself but the vote was unanimous. I Always said that I am not in the list of nominees. But since you will not re-vote I guess I should say Thank You. Now to a little about myself As you all know I am a very private and quiet person. I like to stay behind the scenes. I don’t like to be in the spotlight. You all say that I am the one that keeps Speak Your Mind together, but really it is you that does that. I just value my friends and it’s people like you that make such a great group of friends. I am only a small part of it. As some of you in this group that know me a little better than others are aware of , I was born in Nurnberg Germany. I lived in other areas like Guam, Japan, Maryland, California and other Texas cities before ending up in Brownsville. I learned my terrible Spanish here in Brownsville. I come from a large family with well planted roots in the All American city of Brownsville. I care about all people I guess that is why I made my profession in the healthcare field.. I believe there is good in everyone, I believe in love, honesty and loyalty, live and let live, I try to treat everyone the way I would like to be treated. My favorite saying is "Love without loyalty is worthless." (Henry). You know from my answer in the What is Speak Your Mind Page why and how I formed SYM. So I think that is all I have to say. To all my friends old and new gay and straight I say Thank you and I love you all. You all are what makes myself and others know that there are wonderful people here that no matter what we believe in or whom we love we are all the same - just people who want the same thing out of life and because of you I know that no matter what is happening in the world around us there is still hope. As long as we have hope we know that no matter what these crazy freaks do to us we (Americans) will still go on making the world a place where everyone can live life the way we want to. Happy and free. So there, you crazy bastards: I hope you are happy now that you made me post this. Love ya.........Henry SYM Founder Speak Your Mind Celebrates 4 Years By ShAnTii Underground club music prepared by Voyager & George, delicious food, drinks, games, jokes and out of this world conversations, Speak Your Mind had a fabulous get-to-gether on Sunday, August 20th commemorating their 4th anniversary. It seemed like old times and it was a lot of fun seeing everyone at the party. Henry, George, Juan, Miguel, J.P., Tony, Monica, Lette, Vickie, Luz, Louie, Joe, Michelle, Vince, Lori, Albert, Thomas, myself and other friends were in attendance. Deedra Jo and Mikie our little SYM angels were also present. Thanks to our dear friends that cooked or contributed towards the party in any form or way. It is truly appreciated. Miguel did another extraordinary Bar-BQ. Mmmm Cha Cha Heals had delicious snacks, the bar was loaded with drinks and the Black Velvet Patio Lounge was practically where all the action and party took place. We were drowned in laughter as we played Word Association, Dirty Minds and Taboo. I have to admit I missed those kitties especially the one that would not get off of my chair. Darn that little pussy. Most of us were outside and enjoying each others company. I would like to comment to those of you that enjoyed teasing me, I loved every minute of it. Boy, did we enjoy reminiscing on some of the stories from the past. I suppose some of them are better left unsaid, no pun intended. Let it be known that several of us, others more than some, very well did Speak Their Mind last night. It had been some time since Speak Your Mind friends from last night had gotten together. I have to admit that being with my friends from last night was wonderful. It was enjoyable. The core of the massive Speak Your Mind evolution was there. All what is left to say is: How Sweet!!!! Until Next Time - Speak Your Mind......!!!! Well my fellow readers, what can I say; it was a one great & wonderful year for SYM. We celebrated our 4th year anniversary on August 20, 2006. Although Speak Your Mind has grown alot now, with all these new commers and members, it was such a wonderful feeling to have the original SYM members reunited. Of course I had to be one of the last ones to arrive, to the party. I wouldn't have liked to been the first one there. It brings happiness to myself being one of the last ones to arrive and seeing many friends already there waiting for the party to be complete. For some it had been several months to that they'd seen each other, some weeks, days, and at last just hours for some of us. Special thanks to Miguel for hosting the party and making the best of it. We all had such a great and wonderful time, it was fun, crazy, just a night to remember. As for some members parted early for reasons that some have moved on with life, have a family and children to attend to, and few were somewhat just a tad bit shady or quiet. After a while of conversing and mingling with everyone, catching up on everyones scoop, the food was finally ready, and let me say, it was delicious miguel. Juan thank you very much for having us over, and for the friendship you have offered myself and everyone else in the group. Hector ( my partner in crime ) it was a hilariasssss night having u there, SYM wouldn't have been complete with out your presence and them damn kraziness comments that just naturally come out from you and have everyone rolling on the floor laughing. Mr Henry, thank you for everything you have done as a friend and founder of SYM, your' friendship is not just a lil thing to me, it's a million little things and valued as I value my life. To my one of my very own best of the best friends in the world to me, Lettie, thank you so much for showing up, thank you for always being there, for all the laughters, and joy you bring to myself and group. Michelle, Joe & Deedra, (cositas) it was wonderful seeing you all again, it had been months for me since we last hung out and said stupid shit to each other. Tomas & Alberto, welcome to the group, although neither is one of the original members, but seems like you have been since you two walked in, thank you for friendship and laughters, and last but not least, to my lil prostituting whoring cheap ass fucking 2 cent skank bestfriend Tony, I LOVE YOU MAN, ha ha ha, what would SYM be with out you (a better group i know that for sure) ha ha ha j/k. We all know just as well as everyone else, if u and i are together, we're called TROUBLE. Thank you everyone for being there, for all your laughters, happiness, kindness, stupidness, dumbness, sexiness, idiotness and everything to come, for all the games and what not, and for all of you who missed, it, come on people dont be shy anywhere u see us, come up to us, be part of the group, anyone and almost everyone is welcomed.
