15 Q&A's with Joey aka St. Fiden on DJ Tiesto & DJ Paul Van Dyk LIVE in Concert By: ShAnTii
Hello there Speak Your Mind guests and Klick N' Read readers. I have something fresh and new to share with you. In the coming weeks I will be interviewing several people in reference to different topics. It gives me great joy to share with all of you my first interview article over a friend of Speak Your Mind, Joey, whom has had the privilege to see DJ Tiesto and DJ Paul Van Dyk LIVE in concert in and out of the USofA. So without much fanfare let's get it on!
Hi Joey, It is good to see you. I have not seen you since before your trip to New York.As always, it is great to see ya buddy boy. Thanks for accepting this interview and I am sure the readers will enjoy it as well.?
Q: First, I would like to ask how was your trip to New York? A: It was great! I went to Time Square with some friends of mine.I have been to New York four times and each time it is a lot of fun. I can't wait to go back.
Q: What was your purpose for this last trip to New York? A: I went to New York to see my girlfriend and to attend the two day event concert of Paul Van Dyk at Central Park.
Q:What type of music does Paul Van Dyk play or mix? What would his style be considered? A: He plays all kinds of music. He plays electronic, progressive trance, house music. It is an awesome experience seeing him perform. He uses the newest in technology such as lap top computers, ableton and he also uses final scratch program.
Q: Very interesting. I have seen him only on some of the internet web sites. I can only imagine what he must be like live.? When was the first time or how was it that you were exposed or introduced to his music? A:I had heard of his music a long time before but I really started getting in to it like three years ago while listening to it with friends.
Q: How many times have you seen Paul Van Dyk in concert and where? A: Uh, let's see.I have seen him eight times.I have traveled twice to Houston and Dallas, once to Monterrey and three to New York.
Q: Wow! Eight times Joey. That is a true loyal hard-core fan if I say so myself. In which venue would you say you enjoyed the concert the most. A: Central Park!
Q: Really? And why Central Park? A: Hmm. He had a percussionist and it was and outdoor concert. I really enjoyed it a lot. He has a spectacular laser light show and several wide screens with different graphics.
Q: I've been to several concerts, but never to a DJ concert such as this. How do the fans get during the concert? Do they get as rowdy as in a rock, hip hop or a pop concert? A: The fans are not really pushing each other like in rock concerts. Almost everyone is dancing to the beat. It is a total different experience to a rock or hip hop concert.
Q: I heard through grapevine that you were able to take a picture with him. How did that come to be? A: It was after the concert at a club where he played until 8:15 a.m.? I asked him if I could take a picture with him and he said, "yes."
Q: I know that he probably was tired and sleepy, but how did he seem to you at this time? Was he kool and a down to earth guy? A: He was kool. He also had taken a picture with my girlfriend at the club earlier that night.
Q: Now, tell me a little bit about DJ Tiesto. Does he play the same type of music as Paul Van Dyk? A: Yes, but he plays a lot more trance music. It is just as good.
Q: How many times have you seen DJ Tiesto? A: I've seen him once time in Dallas at Club Liquid. It was a sold out concert.
Q: I know for a fact that you used to DJ at beach parties. Would you say that because of appreciating Tiesto's and Van Dyk's music, that inspired you to be a DJ? A: Yeah!
Q: When was the last time you DJ?d at a beach or any party? A: I DJ'd about two days ago at a friends party.
Q: Ok Joey! Here goes one last question. Tiesto or Van Dyk? A: Van Dyk!!!
Well, thanks a lot for fitting me in to your busy schedule. We will post this soon and hope that our readers enjoy it. Thanks for lending us the picture of you and DJ Paul Van Dyk to post.
NEXT time on 15 Q&A's with ShAnTii - I will be interviewing Kanela - Valentino's MC - Female Impersonator. Till then remember - we are all superstars!
