Hi Everyone,

As the End of the year approaches It’s time for me to write a little something to close out the year for Speak Your Mind. Oh what a wonderful year it has been. Speak Your Mind Continues to grow thanks to all the wonderful people we have met thru out the year. The site has been quite busy and those of you who write things or work on websites know that it takes up so much time to keep up with new things. I started out with very little knowledge of how to make E-Mail backgrounds and 4 years later, I am in charge of this wonderful website. There have been so many changes in this 4th year, and 2007 will bring many more huge changes. I will mention some below. First, I want to thank everyone for visiting the site, Thanks for all the input you have given and a big Thank You to ShAnTii for the great articles and also to Jorge for all the pictures you both have taken thought the year. It has been hard to keep up with posting the pictures, changing the pages, adding the articles, etc. Doing all of this along with my job, meeting for Speak Your Mind gatherings, meetings, SYM movie nights, SYM parties and of course going out to the clubs. As you have read in the articles below, we have been getting together for the any reason we can find, like movie nights, we had the Madonna party, Thanksgiving gathering, etc. all wonderful events and now we come to the end of the year. I hope we can follow through with the 80's themed party as we are planning to close out the year, after last night's gathering we know we have the music. Recently we (Speak Your Mind) were invited to the Valentino’s Christmas Party where we had a fun time. It gave us a chance to learn more about each other as we usually just go to the club and mingle with other club goer’s and take pictures or Jorge works the spotlight for the shows. But at the party we had a chance to really meet the wonderful staff of Valentinos as they were all off duty and they had a chance to visit us for a while. I want to send a big thank you to Luis for my present. I didn’t get to say thanks that night, and I haven’t seen him on my recent visit to the club.

We also recently received an award by Valentino's at their annual Mejor de lo Mejor Awards and that was a great honor and it gives me great satisfaction to know that the Speak Your Mind site is important to those who visit the site. I do not do this site for any awards or compensation. This I say because many of you out there have no Idea who I am. My reason is to provide a service to the gay community, to my friends, to inform and entertain everyone. I want to be able to have a place where everyone can find out something that otherwise will not be seen or told. The valley has very limited resources for the gay community and hopefully we can improve on that. The articles in Klick & Read, the photos thru out the site, the news and services that are out there, to many these are just pages, but as long as to one person this brings a bit enlightenment, a smile or the feeling that others feel the same way or makes that person read something that they would have never known, then I am thrilled that in some way Speak Your Mind is out there. It gives me greater satisfaction when I hear someone say that they liked an article that was posted or the site in general. The events that are happening whether it be a concert a fundraiser or information just to keep you abreast of what’s going on, it's all done for you. As we grow and I get help from others I hope to one day have all kinds of information on the site. Eventually I hope to expand the site to include listings of gay organizations and more. So if anyone has something going on or is involved in something that benefits the gay community hit me up with some information. My E-Mail is at the bottom of this page. I welcome you all to help us grow. I am working as time permits to add some features to the site. Some are: A drop down menu on the pages so you can go directly to the page you want to see, A blog page where anyone can list their own blog so that others can read it - you will be able to add your My Space page/blog for others to see, a calendar page where you can add events to inform others. I am working on agreements with Blogger and My Space among other sites for more features. There are more features to come as we head into the New Year and I hope that you all will continue to support us as you have these last 4 years. Our group keeps getting bigger so that’s another thing I have to deal with – Space. As always I welcome your Ideas and comments and I thank you again for visiting Speak Your Mind.
